How to Apply
We're looking for talented individuals from communities of color who have transferable skills and a passion for community work
To be eligible for an apprenticeship through Careership, applicants must be interested in a career in community development and be willing and able to commit to the 12-month, part-time work and training program. They should have some college and at least five years of work experience and/or involvement in a community-based organization, and direct experience working with or advocating for the interests of communities of color. In addition, they must have skills that would add to the effectiveness of local community development. More details are in our Careership brochure.
Applications are accepted year-round and involve at least one interview. In late fall, selected candidates are interviewed a second time. Careership apprentices are selected at the end of the calendar year and the program year begins shortly after that.
