Project for Pride in Living/Center for Working Families
Bundled financial, employment, and human services
Project for Pride in Living offers neighborhood residents job training and human services.
A few years ago, when Project for Pride in Living (PPL)—a local nonprofit that builds affordable housing and offers employment, job training, and human services—redeveloped a two-story brick building on Franklin Avenue for its headquarters, it was a great boost to the street. Now there is even more to the story. A few blocks away, PPL hosts a Center for Working Families that bundles financial and employment services for low-income families to help them build wealth within a respectful, trusted environment. This center is another manifestation of the Twin Cities’ move toward more comprehensive development that includes not only housing but other opportunities for residents to prosper.
