Model Cities Brownstone

Opportunity and support for entrepreneurs and workers

The Model Cities Brownstone creates community space where residents, businesses, and service organizations can come together.

The Model Cities Brownstone, a $2.6 million building renovation at the corner of Victoria Street and University Avenue in St. Paul, serves as an important neighborhood business incubator. The building houses retailers, and includes support services such as childcare to allow entrepreneurs and new workers to focus on their training and jobs. The goal is to bring more business into the neighborhood and to provide employment training for people who may have difficulty finding jobs (people moving from welfare to work, recent immigrants who may have a language barrier, and people in recovery from substance abuse).
