The life-blood of comprehensive community development is collaboration. This isn’t work that can be done by one group or even one sector. All the people, projects, and organizations involved have to integrate their efforts for maximum impact.
We encourage integration at every level of development work—from large-scale integration of neighborhood economic growth and regional transportation systems to smaller-scale integration like the bundling of financial services to low-income families.
Because we’ve built up trusting, cross-sector relationships over decades, we’re ideally positioned to help build and support long-term, integrative collaborations. This is how comprehensive community development gets done. It has to address not just one issue, but the full spectrum of issues that contribute to a better quality of life.
