Collaborative Village
Help from within
Collaborative Village uses the success of resident “community leaders” to inspire others in this supportive housing development.
Collaborative Village is an innovative approach to supportive housing and family wellness. The development provides 20 units of permanent supportive housing for families in the Phillips/Ventura Village Neighborhood. Sixteen are designated for heads of households who have a disability. The other four units are for “community leaders” who represent families who have overcome homelessness and are now in a position to serve as role models to the rest of the tenants. On-site services in the building include employment counseling, children’s programming, substance abuse counseling, education, family services, mental health services, and programming for fathers.
