Technical Assistance and Training

LISC helps CDCs strengthen their capacity

In a quickly evolving field, LISC provides community and nonprofit developers with valuable technical assistance and training.

Our organizational assessment tool, CapMap, allows us to help identify what an organization’s current capacity is, and spot areas for growth and improvement that can move an organization to higher performance levels. We also offer individualized technical assistance to smaller emerging CDCs that need help in infrastructure and fund development.

As we begin to encourage a more comprehensive community development approach, we want to offer developers help in acquiring the new skills, relationships, and knowledge they will need to succeed. Especially in our four Building Sustainable Communities geographic areas, we will convene practitioner and neighborhood forums, peer networks, and trainings/workshops over the next few years.
